This year: "They" know "they" can say anything "they" want - Then say "I'm sorry - I did not meant to sound like black people should be shipped back to Africa."
Jason Thompson, 38, is a lawyer at the Milwaukee-based firm Michael Best & Friedrich who is a pathetic racist and whose Republican father is running for Senator of Wisconsin.
We all know what Jason said a few days ago at a Fundraiser where the head of the RNC, Reince Preibus, listened in ear-shot:
JASON THOMPSON: “We have the opportunity to send President Obama back to Chicago — or Kenya.”

Jason's daddy's campaign issued a statement:
“The Governor has addressed this with his son, just like any father would do. Jason Thompson said something he should not have, and he apologizes.”

This year, "they," racists and bigots in the GOP party, have given themselves a free pass using racist slurs so long as they issue an "
I'm sorry" afterward. Some, however, spew their hate without an apology: birthers, Romney ...
August 2012
MITT ROMNEY: “This is what an angry and desperate Presidency looks like ... So, Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago and let us get about rebuilding and reuniting America ... His campaign strategy is to smash America apart and then cobble together 51 percent of the pieces.”

Romney never issued an apology because he's an asshole.

JOHN SUNUNU "I wish this president would learn how to be an American,"
Real Clear Politics

John Sununu, surrogate for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign and former New Hampshire governor, appeared on CNN with Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday to apologize for comments he made earlier that day in which he said President Barack Obama needs to “learn how to be an American.”

Did I mention that John Sununu was born in Cuba to a father who is from Palestine (ut-oh Muslim) and his mother is from El Salvador .... hmmm ... '
who' should learn to be an American?

(AP) Montana's chief federal judge apologized for forwarding an email to his friends that contained a joke involving bestiality and President Barack Obama's mother...
Federal Judge Richard Cebull, of Billings, forwarded the email from his chambers to six people on Feb. 20, 2012.

WASHINGTON--A Kansas Republican leader under fire for sending an email invoking a bible verse to suggest that Democratic President Barack Obama's "days be few in number" apologized on Thursday but said that he would not resign.
Critics said the email forwarded by Speaker of the State House Mike O'Neal, that was later published by the Lawrence Journal-World newspaper, called for Obama's death.

The California Republican who e-mailed a racist "family photo" of President Obama because she thought it was funny offered up a second, less defiant apology Monday.
Marilyn Davenport did not say sorry not in person, but through a statement read to the Orange County Republican Central Committee by fellow member Tim Whitacre. Davenport said she didn't show up at the committee meeting because she feared for her life.
NY Daily News
Back to Jason Thompson, apparently, Jason's law firm got some negative blowback from Jason's bigoted comments and issued ... you guessed it ... an "
I'm sorry -- we didn't mean for our lawyer to be so blatant with his hate of black people."
Jason Thompson's law firm issued this statement of apology:
“Over the weekend, one of our attorneys and the son of Senatorial candidate Tommy Thompson made a regrettable comment at a campaign event for his father. We want to make it clear that the comment made at the campaign event in no way reflects the views, beliefs or values of Michael Best & Friedrich.
Jason has apologized for the comment through the campaign (and to his colleagues at the law firm) and the matter is being dealt with between father and son.”
I call bullsh't on that - who the hell does the Managing Partner, David A. Krutz, think he is telling us "the matter is being dealt with between father and son.” No, the matter is a public matter. The 'fact' of the matter is David Krutz has a lawyer who hates black people and he wants us to accept the insincere apology -- I do not accept the apology.
Jason Thompson should be fired, not because he hates blacks, but, rather because of the bigoted stench he now carries to the law firm. On the law firm's website, Jason 'claims' to be a Board Member of Schroeder Branch YMCA, although, I could not find any record of that being true.
Like I said above, this year, racists and bigots in the GOP party have given themselves a free pass using racist slurs so long as they issue an "I'm sorry" afterward. Oh, wait! Do I hear Ann Romney yelling "stop it!" ... Naw ...
In case anyone wants to contact Jason's law firm and let them know how repulsive it is that they have a blatant racist lawyer working for them, here's the contact information.
