There's been talk lately on this community about the accuracy and fairness of RCP and today's ranking has confirmed my suspicions of their bias. Someone here pointed out that Steve Forbes was co-owner of RCP and I should've known. A lot of my conservative and libertarian friends love RCP and I can now understand why. So the past few days we've seen four polls on the PA Senate race. Philly inquirer shows incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Bob Casey Jr. with a 10 point lead over Tea Party Tom Smith (R) then Morning Call shows him with only a two point lead and then PPP shows Casey with an 11 point lead. Now, Quinnipac shows him with a three point lead with Likely voters. Now here's what's rally bizarre, RCP has moved this race into the Toss Up category giving Casey a 5.3 point edge over Smith but TPM has Casey with a 5.1 point edge over Smith but still considers that race to be Leans Democrat.

So which is it? What the hell's going on here? I know Smith has been funding his own campaign since he's a very wealthy coal mine owner and yes he has been outspending Casey in ads but he still can't close the gap. I know a lot of people are saying that the polls are all over the place and the logical, calm part of me wants to believe TPM and PPP more because they are more reliable but the concerned part of me is wondering if I should take RCP seriously.
Senator Casey has a terrific record on supporting the middle-class and has been endorsed by the AFL-CIO and the League Of Conservation. Tom Smith has been endorsed by FreedWorks and the Tea Party Express and only cares about giving himself and his rich buddies more tax breaks.
What do you guys think? Please vote below and if you're feeling generous, throw Casey's campaign some cash:
