President Barack Obama at
Tuesday night's debate:
Governor Romney doesn’t have a five point plan. He has a one point plan, and that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules. That’s been his philosophy in the private sector, that’s been his philosophy as governor, that’s been his philosophy as a presidential candidate. You can make a lot of money and pay lower tax rates than someone who makes less. You can ship jobs overseas and get tax breaks for it. You can invest in a company, bankrupt it, lay off the workers, strip away their pensions, and you still make money. That’s exactly the philosophy that we have seen in place for the last decade. That’s what’s been squeezing middle class families, and we have fought back for four years to get out of that mess. The last thing we need to do is to go back to the very same policies that got us there.
Give $5 to Obama. He has more than a one-point plan.

Blast from the Past. At Daily Kos on this date in 2011—Who is waging class warfare?
President Obama wants to raise taxes on those making a million or more a year, and the Republicans and their media stooges whine about "class warfare." The Republicans kill President Obama's jobs program, but that's not class warfare. And the framing is standard operating procedure. It's standard operating procedure for Republicans to respond to calls for fair taxes by whining about supposed class warfare. It's standard operating procedure for Republicans to do all they can to concentrate more and more wealth and power in the hands of fewer and fewer without anyone calling it what it is. [...]
Those striving for some measure of social and economic justice mean to hurt no one. Creating some balance in the income gap and the distribution of wealth will not cause anyone to go hungry or homeless or to lack adequate health care. Those using every possible means to deny some measure of social and economic justice are hurting people. They are deliberately and unconscionably perpetuating the causes of immeasurable unnecessary suffering. So who is waging class warfare?

Shorter Romney: We need to make jobs flexible so we can continue to pay women less. #debates

On today's
Kagro in the Morning show: Glenn Beck launches his own line of jeans. Joe "You Lie!" Wilson gripes that it's inappropriate for Obama to say Mitt lies. Darrell Issa's gone fishing, again. Plus Mitt Romney's time at the head of Bain & Company's consultancy with the Russian government: why wouldn't being a top advisor to the Yeltsin administration get any mention from a campaign that admits it's lacking in foreign policy experience?
