Luckily, this is all I need for TDS:

Stephen's got Tyler Perry, who's playing Alex Cross in the new movie based James Patterson's books (yes, replacing Morgan Freeman as the main character). I think that Patterson is one of those writers whose murder mysteries I more-or-less enjoyed until I realized how lovingly (and erotically) he was portraying deadly violence, especially when directed at women. Might be wrong, though -- there are so many of them out there, and I've drifted away from that genre in general. There's only so much of this sort of thing I can read:
Alex Cross follows the young homicide detective/psychologist (Tyler Perry), from the worldwide best-selling novels by James Patterson, as he meets his match in a serial killer (Matthew Fox). The two face off in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, but when the mission gets personal, Cross is pushed to the edge of his moral and psychological limits in this taut and exciting action thriller.
