How ironic is it that while the world prays for the recovery of Malala, the brave Pakistani girl who risked her life so that girls and women could achieve equality, some women in the US long for a Taliban-like order where only men have a say.
Janis Lane is president of the Central Mississippi Tea Party, which describes itself as a group of "God-fearing Patriots". In a recent interview with the Jackson Free Press she spoke out about when America began to go to hell in a handbasket:
Probably the biggest turn we ever made was when the women got the right to vote.
Our country might have been better off if it was still just men voting. There is nothing worse than a bunch of mean, hateful women. They are diabolical in how than can skewer a person. I do not see that in men. The whole time I worked, I'd much rather have a male boss than a female boss. Double-minded, you never can trust them.
This would certainly smooth the way for a Romney/Ryan landslide victory. Women in blinders!
