I know the last thing you want us average folks out here in the hinterlands to think is that you and the boys on Morning Joe don't totally respect and actually crave strong intelligent women challenging the man assertions you and some of your guest are becoming famous for.
While you've worked diligently yourself to always show the greatest deference to Mika's opinions, sometimes your guests aren't in on the inside joke that you and her have running where you pretend to condescend to her when she has the temerity to disagree with you, but in reality that's just the charming Morning Joe shtick you've both charmingly cultivated.
Laura Clawson helpfully pointed out that you and your bro's went a teensy bit too far this past Thursday morning:
Thursday morning, she decided to, for a change, strongly challenge the conservative hackery of Scarborough and Mark Halperin on Mitt Romney's "binders full of women" lie, and faced an avalanche of mansplaining of the "silly woman, let the men tell you how women responded to Romney's comments about women needing to go home early to cook dinner if they're going to work at all.
And JTinDC tried hard to keep the fun going:
Mika feels it's insulting that Mitt made up his own version of events thinking he'd have a good story to assuage the little ladies of America. Unsurprisingly, everyone else at the table, all males, ridiculed her for it. "Let's stop talking about binders" and "Women don't care about 'bindergate'" was the theme. Mark 'the hack' Halperin, that POS, says, "that's not what this election should be about."
Now I'm sure with you being the sensitive, suave type of modern Republican that really knows how to appeal to the ladies, who might even as some suspect reap big dividends someday from your lady fans in another political run, that you would want to more than anything further your well earned reputation by making a bold move.
Brother have I got a great idea, just between you and me.
Follow me below the lady croissant.
Hire Joy Reid to replace the inimitable Willie Geist, who is moving over to the 9:00 A.M. slot of NBC's Today Show. Now I know Willie is only giving up his 5:30 show, Way Too Early, that precedes Morning Joe and he was still going to continue with you, but I really think he should completely concentrate on preparing for the new gig and getting primed to replace Matt Lauer.
Joy is absolutely great at everything she does already, and warming up the audience and then joining your cast would be so over the top cool for the show dynamics, fortifying your impeccable cred with the wimmens, and occasionally backing up Mika when your guests forget about the shtick and don't demonstrate your profound appreciation of her insights.

Smart as a whip, personable in all of her appearances on The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, and a perfect replacement for the always entertaining departing Willie. Can you say President Scarborough? I knew you could.
Your welcome very much.
