I was walking into Ashmont Station (Red line. Right on dot ave. You know, dot? Southie? fahgetit). Anyhow, I saw two guys and a pregnant women holding up big blue "Obama voters for Brown" signs. I remembered Brown's accusation that Warren pays actors for her ads so I approached them and asked "Are you for real"?
One guy shot back "Oh ya, we are!". But I'm pretty perceptive and what I felt he said was "No, we are not." So I pressed them. I said "How can you be for Obama and vote for Brown"? The other guy asked me "Why don't you like Brown. I heard one person say he's an a##hole but...". So I told them he was funded by out of state big oil. He voted against jobs bills that would have helped MA. The debates revealed him as an a##hole. He just gave me a knowing look and said "All right". So I asked them, "Are you going to vote for Brown"? The first guy said "You can make your own decision who to vote for". I said, "I know, but I'm asking you who you're going to vote for. You're out here campaigning for Brown". They looked at each other suppressing grins. I'd caught them and they knew it. I said "Look, I get it. Just don't do to much damage out here. There is a coffee shop right over there. Be sure to take a break."
These folks were black in a predominantly black neighborhood. Brown is up to something. My assessment is that they were not Brown supporters. I didn't want to ask them if they were being payed but I should have asked them how they got involved.
*UPDATE:*
From a comment by Devin, yes, Brown is paying homeless people to hold up these signs:

What I saw were people who looked mostly apolitical but would process new information and develop an opinion. Their opinion seemed to be they did not like Brown but were happy to be getting payed. I let up on them because I could tell they were stuck in a hard place. Brown is a horrible person.
