Mother Jones, the American Family Association has identified
the newest threat to the heterosexual lifestyle:
Mix It Up Day, this year on October 30, consists almost entirely of forcing kids to sit with someone new at lunch. That's it. The idea behind it is that forcing kids to interact with kids they don't normally hang with helps break up cliques that form in schools and which foster bullying. But behind this rather innocuous project, the AFA sees the "homosexual agenda." According to their website:
"Mix It Up" day is an entry-level "diversity" program designed specifically by SPCL [sic] to establish the acceptance of homosexuality into public schools, including elementary and junior high schools.
Well,
duh. Here you are, trying to raise a nice, bigoted, ultra-isolated snotnosed little punk, and all of a sudden here comes some possibly devil-inspired school official to come and make your kid sit next to someone he wouldn't normally sit next to for one goddamn day out of his entire sheltered life, quite possibly a girl or a black kid or a Muslim or some kid who takes science class way, way too seriously, and you know what that leads to, right? Yep, gay sex. Of course.
Remember, family values crowd: If your child eats lunch next to some kid that you never met but possibly may secretly in the future hold values you don't like, just for one irritating day, that's it for you. All of your parenting, flushed down the tubes in the time it takes to eat a lukewarm slice of pizza and a Jello.
This is also why you should never let your child ride the bus. Do you know who else rides the bus? That's right, kids of a slightly different religious denomination. Episcopalians, Catholics, the whole nine yards. That's only one of the reasons it's getting harder and harder to raise your kid up to be an obsessively judgmental asshole these days.
