(To the tune of One Day More). Every movement needs an anthem; every worker needs her song. So to spur his reelection, I must pass Barack's call along.....
Sometimes the smallest moment revolutionizes a day. I had one like that earlier this evening, when I read a tiny post by the blogger, Malaise, over at Democratic Underground. It lauded the incredibly professional reworking of the original Les Mis clarion call into a (song) called One Term More, and I clicked the link because I thought it would be good for a giggle.
It's not.
It is, as Malaise said, Freaking Awesome.
You HAVE to click on and listen to the link for each song! It will remind you of why we are fighting our way toward that first Tuesday in November, and what is at stake
Reminds me a little bit of Eminem's (song) Mosh from the 2004 election, which got me wired every day to go in to the America Coming Together office in Columbus, Ohio and fight the right in the name of the light.
Gentlemen and gentlewomen, start your hearts. The battle for the soul of America cries out for your efforts, and our Native Hawaiian Son needs your hands and voices behind him.
As the (song) in Les Miserables says:
"The time is now! The day is here!" "When our ranks begin to form."..."At the barricades of freedom," "I shall join my (soulmates) there."
Looking forward to our (song's) Grand Finale on November 6th!!

And for a lighter note, as ddn pointed out, Les MisBarack from 2008 is a hoot....
