I am very bothered and frustrated with Mitt Romney's new "Find a Way" ad. You would believe since Mitt Romney keeps noting over and over again during his debate performances, on the campaign trail and now in this new ad... you would believe that he was THE GREAT Governor of Massachusetts, or MA's shining white knight.
Well is there something I'm missing here? Because the facts say otherwise....
Jobs in Massachusetts plunged from 36th to 47th in job creation. He raised taxes on the middle class. He lost 40,000 manufacturing jobs for the state and even sent jobs overseas.
Of course Mitt Romney going to sweep these facts under the rug...but why (WHYYYY!?) is Obama doing the same?
Mitt Romney touts how he was able to work with a 80% democratic legislature and is using that to convince voters on how he can do that as President. Well congrats to you Mitt Romney for passing laws due to the democratic legislature putting country, not party first.
How nice was it that Mitt Romney didn't have a legislature who's "top priority" was to deny him a second term. How nice was it to not have the democratic legislature use the American people... basically as sacrifices, by keeping millions struggling and out of work just to put one man out of a job.
The behavior of this congress reminds me of something Mitt has said about the "illegals" on how he's going to make it so bad here that they would want to "self deport". This is what the congress has achieved. We COULD have been much better off if congress worked with the President. The congress wanted this country to fail under Obama's leadership so we would vote (or self deport) against him.
I just don't understand why Obama isn't hitting him HARD in these issues and that's what is frustrating about it all. Mitt Romney can't say he was good for Massachusetts when he is losing the state by 15-20 percentage points in this general election. He can't say he was good for Massachusetts because when his approval rating I think was down to just 34%(?) before he left office. He can't tout his ability to reach across party lines because he had a legislature that put the country first, not the party.
WHEN is Obama going to call him out on this???? He stoods face to face with Mitt Romney twice and says nothing when Mitt pats himself on the back about his Massachusetts record. Not even in his stump speech does he call him out on these issues.
