It gives me the creeps to see his grandkids trotted out at the end of every debate. It's one thing to bring the adult children and the grandkiddies to the last night of the convention, but to bring them to every debate? President Obama brings his wife and leaves his children at home to do their homework, play, and get to bed on time.
It's pretty heartless and soulless to have small children sitting around way past what should be bedtime for children to serve as on camera props to humanize their stiff Grandpappy who is grouchy about any appearance he has to make before us common folk.
I can't imagine how those children feel sitting on a chair waiting for the 5 minutes they are needed as little props. Maybe they're tired and allowed to nap during the debate (rather than watch GrandPop get his ass handed to him) or maybe a few games. I think they'd much rather be at home playing with their toys and sleeping in their own bed.
And get a load of the Romney clan. They surround their patriarch like they're defending him from a 360 degree assault after the debate. It's almost hard to get an image of him while his family defends him from every angle.
And would it really kill Mitt Romney to put his arms around his wife when she hugs him after the debate? Each time she goes to him and puts her arms around him, he stands there with his arms at his sides.
He's a pretty creepy guy anyway, but this makes him creepier. Since I saw a sort of decent guy Mitt, I thought he might try a bit of humanity.
Anyway, this stuff stuck in my head so I thought I'd see what everyone else thought.
