From reading and hearing the latest rants from the failed errand boy of the Bush administration and Romney's co chair, you'd think the sounds of desperation are in the air. You would think this is a desperate attempt to appeal to the base instincts of mankind. Surely, a winning campaign - at full steam to boot - wouldn't stoop so low as to try to gin up racial animosity this late in the game, right?
Let's see....
I know a lot of you are outraged at the antics of this Romney puppet. I sense that a lot of you want to scream and strike back.
Please don't.
We all saw how Romney couldn't build on his supposedly brilliant debate one performance. Romney in the last two debates was out of his depth and - using the President's words - "new to foreign policy". I dare say that since Romney was embarrassed - and has been exposed as an empty suit fraud - I would think he would learn the lessons of losing and form better arguments. Instead he has chosen to dispatch his fly happy lackey to aggressively lash out at our President.
Is that how someone who claims to be winning acts?
Is this the demeanor of a team that claims to be sailing easily to victory? In my years of competing, when I was ahead of an opponent, I let my talents speak loudly for me. I wouldn't lash out by employing cheap, petty and disgusting tactics to prove what I'm already doing.
Sununu and Romney, in their eager zest to begin controversy, have shown all of us that their facade of leading has broken them down to this - race baiting. They have now confirmed to the world that their time is running out. They are out of genuine ideas and have never formulated original proposals that are meaningful. What you are witnessing is the last gasp of a team with no compass or class.
They want us to lash out in hurt and anger. They want all of us to get in the shadows and wallow in mud with them. They want all of this because the sunshine of authenticity has made them scurry like roaches.
Don't play their game. Let them call names and whistle their grief.
Let's us be the winners we've been all along.
