With all the new laws, court challenges, and sleazy mailers this year, it is more important than ever that voters know where they can go for accurate, nonpartisan information on voting. So I hope you will all tell everyone you know about the Election Protection Hotline run by the Lawyers Committee on Civil Rights.
Trained volunteer lawyers and law students are manning phones around the country. They can handle any questions voters may have. The hotline number is 866-OUR-VOTE.
The Election Protection project also has a phone app and a web site with lots of information at 866ourvote.org.
If you find out about anything that looks like it might be attempts at voter suppression or fraud, you should call 866-OUR-VOTE. The Lawyers Committee has worked for years protecting voters' rights in court, as well as by informing voters.
Thanks.
