Bizarre- out of the hundreds of channels on Comcast Xfinity digital cable TV lineup, all of them appear to be working during approach of hurricane Sandy here in the Willow Grove area PA Philadelphia suburbs EXCEPT ONE - the local weather channel!
A "hundred year storm" weather event and the channel devoted to providing localized weather forecasts - and any emergency bulletins - has failed on the Comcast Xfinity system. Screen is frozen as of 11:29:02pm last night October 28 on both digital cable boxes. Reported it to Comcast but they say it failed because of the hurricane. None of the other channels have failed but the local weather channel - during an on-coming hurricane. The irony! I can still get the national The Weather Channel (channel 27 on my system) and local TV stations and hundreds of others, but not the one channel devoted to local weather conditions (channel 101 on my system). [Is Brownie in charge of the local weather channel?]
