During Katrina it was an automatic and just plain understood taboo to mock the misery the entire South and especially New Orleans was experiencing as a result of the storm.
Over on the Yahoo comments board, it's not the same now that the tide has turned. There are very few nice comments I could find coming out of the apparently still antebellum South to the hurting but recovering people of the North.
I'm not going to quote any of it - I'm not going to give them free press. We all already know why they do it.
My only comment is:
