Wherever in the United States barriers to registration are eased, citizens register in record numbers. Such has been the case in California with the new online voter registration law. If I understand the LA Times article correctly, it says there are now 18mm registered voters in California of which 1.4mm are new voters. That's almost 10%!

It is assume the large influx of new voters bodes well for Democrats. You don't suppose that's why the opposition party has so forcefully be engaging in voter suppression?
