The Obama campaign is doing fantastic work. But these numbers don't look so hot.

Yes...there are the usual suspects on the right who have weighed in on Romney outpacing Obama in early voting...all taken in stride.

But this and a Slate pieces about #s of ballot requests in Athens, Ohio (Ohio U Obama stronghold) being WAY down from 2008. And voting as well.

I still like out chances...but like Nixon's 'silent majority', I'm concern-trolling about Romney pulling off something similar. Under the radar early vote advantages built up in swing states, Obama's inability to turn their voters out as they had hoped, then on election day, the Romney advantage kicks in and the early vote lead Obama had been counting on doesn't exist.
So why should we be stoked about an early voting advantage in the key swing states that doesn't exist? What am I missing?
