Some here wondered why so many Minnesota newspapers (mostly weekly papers)
have endorsed Mitt Romney. It is because these papers are owned by Forum Communications, which has always endorsed the Republican candidate as long as I remember.
To the credit of the Fargo Forum, owned by Forum Communications, they have printed three of my letters this election cycle. When Forum Communications endorsed Mitt Romney, I sent a quick note to the editor of the Fargo Forum, not thinking it would be published. In fact, I meant it as a personal note to the editor to express my displeasure with Forum Communications. However, today they published my note/letter.
Here it is:
Wow! The Fargo Forum endorses a Republican for the presidency. Who could have seen that coming?
You twisted yourself into a pretzel to make a case for Mitt Romney.
Unfortunately, very little of it is true. “Romney has a history of accomplishment ...” you said. Oh, please.
Nice effort but not a credible endorsement, I’m afraid.
I meant it to be sarcastic. As I said, I just meant it to show my displeasure with their constant endorsement of Republicans; my other letters had more substance, on why President Obama should be re-elected.
