This is a decent report, although early voting is slowing down a bit in general. But overall turnout among early voting is up sharply from 2008. In that election, about 545,000 votes were cast before election day. Currently, 584,095 votes have been cast already and there are still a few days of early voting left. We now lead in ballots cast by 62,780. By the end of early voting in 2008, we led Republicans by about 94,000 ballots cast. By the end of early voting in 2004 (about 460,000 ballots cast) we were ahead by 52,000 ballots cast.
We're in a good position, but there is work to be done! GOTV!
