I, like many of you, have been checking hourly for new polls, worrying, fretting, etc. However one of my passions is the NBA and its season started this week. I have been a Clipper fan for the 29 years they have been in LA. The vast majority of those years have been depressing. However, I was able to take my family to many games at low prices with great seats. My three adult kids, and even my wife, are now NBA fans! this year I actually think the Clippers have a chance to win the title. I had my son, who lives in Las Vegas, put $50 on them at 25-1 to win the title. They have a deep bench plus Blake and Chris Paul.
The 2012 13 year will be interesting.
Will the Miami Heat repeat? They have an excellent chance. Lebron in his prime with Ray Allen added.
Does Indiana or Brooklyn have enough to challenge in the east?
Can Pops get enough out of Tim Duncan for the Spurs to challenge in the West?
How will the Harden trade affect the Thunder's chances?
Is Steve Nash still a championship point guard? Can he lead the Lakers with no bench and a great starting lineup?
Please put your thoughts on your team's chances in the comments.
I am hoping if the Clips don't make it that Oklahoma City wins it all. I like the coach and the team. Durrant is a class act and the coach, Scott Brooks, is a local who I saw play in college at UC Irvine. I respect Popovich, but I'd like to see teams win that haven't won before. In the east, obviously Miami is the favorite, but watch out for Chicago if Rose gets back in decent health in time for the playoffs
Will Chicago be able to have Derrick Rose come back in time for the playoffs?
Does Boston have anything left in the tank?
