Almost a month ago now, I posted this diary: http://www.dailykos.com/... asking the community to help me find a new home for a stray kitty.
Well, thanks to some wonderful people here, especially Kossack Cany, Kitty, now Emily, has a safe and loving home and a new playmate.
It took a while, but with the help of Kossacks kishik, ParkRanger, and the amazingly generous cany, Emily is going home with the receptionist at the Stoney Pointe Pet Hospital here in Rochester. She fell in love with Emily from the moment she met her. I took her there this past Monday for a complete exam and to get her up to date on all her shots.
Emily is a tiny thing of 6.5lbs, but she makes a huge impression, and you can't help but love her.
Please help me give a huge thank you to cany who paid for all of Emily's vet care and the cost of boarding through hurricane Sandy and Halloween. She thought of everything, left no stone unturned and made sure Emily got the care she needed.
Our first meeting
She loved to roll over and perform for me!
My goddaughter holding the carrier kashik sent so I could transport Emily around.
Sporting a new glow-in-the-dark collar I got her (sadly it was lost or stolen). She loved to follow me down the street whenever I left the house. I'd have to shoo her back home. Didn't want her making a habit of being near the road.
Thank you, cany. Thank you, kishik. Thank you, ParkRanger. Thank you, Daily Kos community.
I will miss you Emily!
