Democrat Chris Murphy is likely to be the new Senator from Connecticut. Our final poll finds him leading Linda McMahon 52-43— PublicPolicyPolling (@ppppolls) noviembre 3, 2012
The McMahon campaign is NOT happy with these numbers. Within minutes they had a response attempting to dismiss the poll:
EDIT: Tip to Joan McCarter for pointing out this tweet. The situation is clearly getting desperate in the McMahon camp.
EDIT #2: The write-up for both polls is now on the PPP blog. Interesting to see the gulf between the two Republican candidates' favorability ratings:
While Linda will be an indep. voice for CT, Chris Murphy was proudly endorsed by the Communist Party. The choice on Tues. is clear. ~Staff— Linda McMahon (@Linda_McMahon) noviembre 2, 2012
Scott Brown has a 52/36 approval rating. Usually Senators with those kinds of approval numbers are safe for reelection.
Linda McMahon, already unpopular, has just become more disliked by voters in the state over the last couple weeks. Only 37% have a favorable opinion of her to 52% with an unfavorable one.
