This is in response to rec list diary about waiting in line for 9 hours today to early vote in Florida. If you don't want to wait in line there is another way. True early vote ended today but I just received an email from my local Dem. party stating that if I haven't voted I could avoid lines by picking up an absentee ballot at the county supervisor of elections office (there are 3 in my county) tomorrow.
On Sunday, you can still avoid lines at the polls by picking up a Mail Ballot in any Elections Office.
Open Sunday, Nov 4th – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This is Pinellas. But I would check with your county supervisor of elections office to see if they will also be open tomorrow. This may be statewide as we have a republican SOE who wouldn't open unless it was the law.
Once you pick up your absentee ballot you can just complete it on the spot and just turn it in just as if it was mailed. Make sure you sign the envelope and follow all instructions.
