More Tagging tips:
A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?
Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.
If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office.
CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.
Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.
Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary:
Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House.
If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state
Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries
that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

The saddest thing about her story is that it's such a common story in the US, and it doesn't have to be that way.
I knew that she had gone through cancer treatment but I did not know it had been coming back. When you hear what people have to go through simply to stay alive...it's heartbreaking. As a Canadian living in a society where the idea of people not having health care sounds like something from the Dark Ages, I really hope that Obama wins, Obamacare remains the law of the land, and that it serves as a springboard so that someday there will be a true, American, single-payer, public healthcare system.
And to Tracy: hang in there! There are people out there rooting for you and for everyone else who really needs Obamacare.

fully implement the ACA until 2014.

my daughter went thru the same treatment as Tracy
when she was in her teens, for Hodgkins Disease.
We had a hard time getting insurance for her after that;
had to go outside our plan to purchase another policy--
and it was really expensive.
I am so afraid for her--and all the others like her--
if the ACA is overturned. She's an adult now with
a family of her own, but it terrifies me what can happen
if mitt were to be elected....
and the "free market" is left unchecked to turn people into
Unfortunate Acceptable Loss

The callousness and dehumanization of that term absolutely disgusts me. Romney may think corporations are people, but it looks like the individuals running them are not.

First, my best wishes to Tracy Nelson, and thanks for making this courageous video.
I am currently trying to pay off two Dr. bills for my son. One from over a year ago that should be paid off in 4 mos. or so, and another I am negotiating (I hope). These need to be paid off because I just had PT for tendinitis, an MRI which found spinal stenosis and an ultra sound leading to a biopsy Tues. (yes, election day - I voted early) for possible uterine cancer. I'm scared, not just about the cancer, but about how I'm going to pay all the bills. And I HAVE "good" insurance. Any other country in the civilized world...we all know the truth. As George Carlin said, we are corporately owned.
