I watched it out in California - maybe some of you were there in person! It must be an experience to be that physically cold and emotionally (morally, metaphysically?) warm at the same time. The President's voice was hoarse, which perfectly underscored his statement of intent to be a champion for We The People. That he can give essentially the same speech over and over, without losing presence and intensity is amazing, and also a sign (not that we needed one) of his emotional investment in what he's saying. I imagine that the meaning of the words call him back into presence in the midst of repetition. I hope he received a mug of some sort of soothing elixir after getting back on Air Force One.
