I am leaving the house pretty soon to go down to the Albany SEIU offices, today the OFA phone banks. So I check Facebook and here's what a friend in the Bronx experienced trying to vote this morning. Can anyone give me some advice on this? I'm in Albany and appalled that this is happening.

I just read a diary that suggested that calling the 866 number doesn't get fast results with voting problems, so I want to ask you all what to do. Here's the issue:
soooooooo, I go to my local polling site during the 6am hour to VOTE only to get there and discover that my local polling site did NOT have any voting machines!!! Something happened and the voting machines weren't dropped off soooo we were told to go to the nearest polling site to vote since supposedly you can vote anywhere, soooooo we (my mother and I--we vote together EVERY year) a good TEN blocks in the FREEZING cold to the nearest polling site only to be told that that place (a junior high school) is no longer a polling site. Sooooo, we were told to go to another polling site located in a housing project community center. We go, sign in, wait on line for about an hour only to be told while on line that because we weren't in the proper (???) polling site that we would have to vote by paper ballot (manually). Ok?!? Soooo, we get to the front of the line and then are told that because we were not at our proper polling site, if we were to vote there, our vote would be considered INVALID!!! Grrr. We were told to wait for a phone call to get things straight but my mother and I had to go. No time to wait, so without voting, we left to return home (Really, we HAD to go, couldn't hang around and wait for some phone call) in the FREEZING cold. Grrrr...
I'm trying to get the address, and will post if he answers the question before I leave the house.
Yesterday Governor Cuomo issued an executive order that is supposed to take care of this
