5:38 PM PT: NC-Gov has been called for Republican Pat McCrory over Dem Walter Dalton, as expected.

5:41 PM PT: CNN calls VA-02 for GOP Rep. Scott Rigell. Not a surprise.

5:41 PM PT: In FL-18, 25% in, and a bunch of earlies, and Dem Patrick Murphy is up 51-49 over Rep. Allen West (R).

5:43 PM PT: So much for that:

When state lawmakers redrew the boundaries of Central Kentucky's 6th Congressional District this year, Republican Sen. Alice Forgy Kerr of Lexington dubbed the bill the "Ben Chandler Lifetime Employment Act."

5:44 PM PT: NJ-Sen has been called for Dem Sen. Bob Menendez over Republican Joe Kyrillos. Thank god, because somehow I got on Kyrillos's spam list and his emails make me lose the will to live.

5:49 PM PT (James L): In IN-02, Republican Jackie Walorski is now ahead of Democrat Brendan Mullen by a mere 600 votes with 75% of precincts reporting.

5:49 PM PT: Whoa:

Just in from @WyattCBS, Virginia suspends reporting of its election results because voters still in line to cast their ballots.

5:59 PM PT: Woohoo! NH-Gov is called for Democrat Maggie Hassan over Republican Ovide Lamontagne. This is a Dem hold, and a big one.

6:00 PM PT: CNN has called PA-Sen for Dem Sen. Bob Casey over Republican Tom Smith.

6:02 PM PT: MI-Sen has been called for Dem Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

6:03 PM PT: MN-Sen called for Dem Sen. Amy Klobuchar. This was a safe Dem seat.

6:07 PM PT: Second county red->blue: Early County, GA Obama +3.8; was McCain +2.0. 100% reporting, 99.7% of 2008 turnout.

6:14 PM PT: AZ-Sen first wave of exit polls back out to Jeff Flake (R) at 50, Rich Carmona (D) at 47.

6:19 PM PT: Dems had hoped for a steal in NE-02, but it was always unlikely: GOP Rep. Lee Terry is comfortably up over Democrat John Ewing, 54-46 with 85% in.

6:22 PM PT: FL-09 (new district) has been called for ex-Rep. Alan Grayson (D).

6:26 PM PT: IN-Sen: 48-46 Donnelly (D) with 63% in. IN-Gov: 51-45 for Pence (D).

6:26 PM PT: The AP calls OH-Sen for Sherrod Brown. Awesome!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
