Look at those states. Look at the margins in those states. Look at the demographic shifts in those state. Look at the home field advantage for the R's in those states, this time around.
Tell me, do you realistically think that a republican (in anything like the current form of the party) will win ANY of those states moving forward.
Nope. They really cannot. They have a couple of long shots in there, but they are long shots.
And yet, if you add up the electoral votes in those states and all the truly, massively safe D states, you have 272.
Leave FL, OH, NC, and even VA on the floor. Go ahead. All of them. You still have a democratic win.
That's the news here, folks, and that'll tell you where the republicans absolutely MUST go if they want to play presidential politics moving forward.
They don't need to soul search, they need to gut out the party. And they need to do it soon.
