As you know, the people of Minnesota rejected a consitutional amendment to establish marriage as only between a man and a woman.
It brings me great pleasure here in Minnesota that a big loser in the rejection of the consitutional amendment is the bishop of Minneapolis-St. Paul. He bet big on this vote, and poured money into the campaign to pass the amendment. Well, the amendment lost, and so did he.
Even one of his priests has asked him to resign due to his anti-equality hatred:
“As a priest of the Archdiocese I would ask our Archbishop, John Nienstedt, to prayerfully consider stepping down from his office,” the letter states. “It would be healing for our state and our church and would show some magnanimity on his part.”

The hierarchy has lost whatever credibility they had left with their ant-equality efforts.
