Good Morning Kossacks and Welcome to Morning Open Thread (MOT)

We're known as the MOTley Crew and you can find us here every morning at 6:30am Eastern. Feel free to volunteer to take a day - permanently or just once in awhile. With the Auto Publish feature you can set it and forget it. Sometimes the diarist du jour shows up much later: that's the beauty of Open carries on without you! Volunteer in the comment threads

Good evening all. Its 6:00 last night and Stream of Consciousness Man is finally coming down from the Sweet Sugar Rush of Victory. "When the Captains and the Kings depart..." and all that.
Once again, everybody I voted for and gave money won. Gotta like that!  Its like your team sweeping the Series. OR stays bluely blue, it only becomes more wonderful.
this is my 3d presidential election at DK and this was the most low key. probly because we were all on  the same page as to who the candidate was going to be, for the first time, so there was no big primary fight here. I certainly have not agreed with Obama on everything he's done but I thought he'd done a good job under trying circumstances and against fanatical resistance. And he's a Democrat.

I want to say it went easy but I want to thank all those who worked so hard to make it look easy and none more than our very own eeff. Thanks to you and all who worked on the campaign. I took the easy way out,  only gave money this time.
Thank God, and eeff, we don't have to look at Mr Slickhair for 4 more years. I mean: Booooottttt!!  Whats with republicans, anyway, we sure have different ideas about what makes a president and what he should look like. they definitely like the Mr 1% CEO look.
Time to fade, Mitt. Don't go away mad---just go away!

So have fun slicing and dicing, folks. I'll be in later to pick up the collections jar.
Morning Open thread will begin in 5...4....3.....2....1....NOW!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
