Just wondering, because I haven't heard that from any of them since the election. But then I've been pretty busy helping to Flush Rush (438 new members in one Facebook group in the past 24 hours!)

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

But like their confederate forebears the hatred of Obama is base almost entirely on racial prejudice. Much like the origin of the Civil War.

It will be hard for them to change world view because so much of their blather is based upon the foundation of racial and class privilege.

The real threat to this country is that the GOP can no longer  distinguish between truth and fallacy

The GOP reviles Jimmy Carter. The GOP worships Ronald Reagan. Carter canceled the B1-B program (to universal derision by the neo cons) to channel money for stealth technology (Carter couldn't reveal this at the time). And he expanded the cruise missile program and began a plan to retrofit the aging B52 fleet with the latest technolgoy

Reagan spent trillions on 'beam weapons' and retrofitting WW 2 naval ships. And he reactivated the B1-B to the cheers of the neo-cons.  And he thought it was fantastic to arm and train Islamic fundamentalists.

Stealth and the B52 are still key components of our defense. The B1-B has been retired. Beam weapons are still mainly used in fiction. Alas, his Islamic fundamentalists did have staying power.

I can count the times I've heard politicians admit lying on a couple of fingers and those were about personal indiscretions.

They don't do humility or honest self-refection well, at least not publicly, and when they try it's almost always an effort to salvage their careers.

They're still lying about the Bush administration and it was a lie from beginning to end.

I held my nose and watched a little of Faux News yesterday because it's fun to watch when you've just crushed them like a bug.  All of their hosts and guests were busy lying and lying and lying as usual.  Most of them also thought that the reason why they lost is because more than half the country wants "free stuff".  Talk about idiots.  Considering that right wing media actual controls elected GOP officials, I see no end in sight to their tent getting smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller.  It's really shocking to see an entire party be in denial of facts, reality and math.
