All right, that's Paul Ryan topless in the linked pic.  Too bad it is surely copyrighted as it made this boring text more interesting before I thought better of pasting it in.

We'll probably soon have the FBI Agent's photos as fast as the crumbs are being leaked around.

But the Petraeus story just gets constantly more unbelievable.

Jill Kelley, the woman who is said to have received the Paul Broadwell emails?

Asked a "friend" in the FBI to look into the matter.

That she had an FBI friend to ask at least explains how the FBI got involved in something they probably would normally ignore.

But the FBI agent is then said to have become obsessed with Jill Kelley, so much so he sent her "topless" pictures of himself.

And then apparently (maybe to get her attention?) contacted Reichert, who contacted Cantor, who contacted Boehner.

And now has the FBI searching Paula Broadwell's house. Maybe a bit late if she has a shredder . . .

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:

      Later, the agent became convinced — incorrectly, the official said — that the case had stalled. Because of his “worldview,” as the official put it, he suspected a politically motivated cover-up to protect President Obama. The agent alerted Eric Cantor, the House majority leader, who called the F.B.I. director, Robert S. Mueller III, on Oct. 31 to tell him of the agent’s concerns.

      Instinct when Cantor put out a press release.  If it were anything more than smoke, you can be assured Cantor had more than enough ways to leak this.

      There is sometheing very ugly going on here.   I see a love quadrangle potentially between 4 republicans.

    This is officially some next level shit.

    If the next level is lower than low I suppose. The shirtless FBI agent should be fired forthwith. Get Smart is more believable as a brainy g man at this point.

    In conclusion: a woman having an affair with the director of the CIA sent threatening emails to another woman she thought might be having an affair with the same CIA director, and then that woman reported the emails to an FBI agent, who then became obsessed and sent her harassing emails of his own, including some in which he was not wearing a shirt. This is officially some next level shit.

    UPDATE: To make matters even crazier, the FBI is now in the process of searching Paula Broadwell's home.

      Just because he was obsessed doesn't mean he has a good memory.

      Of course, this might have a long shirt tail.

    make yourself dizzy, try reading the definitive commentary about this saga on right-wing sites.

    They can't quite get their ideas squared away because the whole story is (according to them):

    a) A devious Obama ploy to avoid having Gen. P avoid testifying re Benghazi;

    b) A honey-pot entrapment scheme to take down the military (which will be doubled-down on with latest reports re Gen. A.) by the pinko Kenyan usurper who plans to cashier all of the military on Day One. (Don't know how that will work out when he declares Martial Law on Day Two. Maybe temp Rent-a-MPs?)

    c) Definitive evidence of the usual left-wing moral decay and irrespsonsibility (but are any of these hapless erotomanes known to be lefties?)

    d) Obviously Obama knew and delayed making it public before the election so he'd win because who'd have voted for another four years if they had heard that anybody within 50 miles of DC was screwing around;

    e) (Not stated, but clearly by inference) All the result of gay-marriage initiatives and repeal of DADT, which are just killing traditional marriage and, um, unit cohesion (at least among West Point grads.)

    f) Something inchoate related to "free stuff" (perhaps the goodie bags given out at staid ceremonial bashes like the OSS Dinner are better than one would imagine)

    f) And now we can add the Middle Eastern angle so by tomorrow night I predict a swing back to spittle-flecked Islamophobia and Saddam/Osama/WMD/9-11  confabulation. USA! USA! USA!
