I’ll tell you exactly how these bubbleheads are gonna go on this.  they got beat by a black guy and as much as they despise him and everything about him, they see Hillary Clinton as the next in line - and they’ve been preparing to beat her for twenty years.

it’s what they thought would happen in 2008 and that’s what they’re gonna prep for now.  they’re still convinced that people  just need to be lied to better and that they can beat Hillary because they believe that angry white men really hate women.

guaranteed, they’ll try the same shit we just saw but substitute sexism for racism and they are convinced they are a lock for the white house.

watch for the anti-Hillary talk to start as they start their poisoned well campaign.  my guess is that they start to anchor the words “Benghazi” and “Hillary”.  they were too focused on using it against Obama in the campaign, but now they will talk about Hillary and Benghazi in any mention of either.

I’m not Hillary’s biggest fan, but I’ll still vote for her.

these GOP asshats are gonna have to fail again for it to make it into their checkbooks/skulls.

the GOP is counting on dismissing Hillary and stealing their white country back.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Clinton has traveled to Australia to attend "annual defense talks aimed at deepening military and political cooperation" between Australia and the United States. According to the Congressional Research Service, "Australia was one of the first countries to commit troops to U.S. military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq." The country also "plays a key role in promoting regional stability in Southeast Asia and the Southwest Pacific and supports international efforts to promote stability in Afghanistan."

After visiting Australia, she will visit Asian countries including Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar. The trip will include a summit of Asian leaders in Phnom Penh.

But Fox Nation and Drudge both suggested that the purpose of Clinton's trip was a "wine tasting."

    Emphasis mine.

Hillary would destroy any republican nominee they put up.  She would win all the Obama states plus Arkansas, Missouri and possibly West Virginia, Kentucky and maybe other southern states like possibly Tennessee.  She has BROAD appeal.  It would be a landslide.  The Democrats need to beg her to run and give it to her on a silver platter...if they want to win and big.  Plus there's no one we could nominate to match her mountain of experience and knowledge.  It would be a win win..for our party and country.

The standard is going to be 50ish or younger. That way they might stay 30-40 years. It is the way to hopefully prevent  a President of a different party from making an appointment for that seat.

  •  The GOP is gunning at Hillary circa 2008 (2+ / 0-)

Problem for the right-wing is that the 2012 edition of Hillary Clinton has vastly greater stature.  Her stint as SOS has elevated her standing way beyond what she had attained as a senator prior to her 2008 run.

It's like the GOP keeps looking to some imaginary past to assess their electoral chances -- sort of like their constant assertions that the 2012 electorate would resemble the 2004 version more than what occurred in 2008.

I can't remember the last time that a SOS made a presidential run, but their standing with the American public is generally much more favorable than with a member of Congress.  The reason why senators rarely get elected President is because they can get tied to the negatives (and extensive voting records) of Congress.  Hillary's status as a SOS essentially expunges many of those negative associations.

It makes her far more formidable than she would have been in 2008.  Doesn't matter if the GOP wants to redux all the talking points they intended to aim at her four years ago.  If they want to dust off their 2008 strategy, they'll have to stare down a likely landslide of historic proportions.
