Boys can at least help mock Republicans on behalf of girls, can't they?

Via Politico, my favorite source of ridicule:

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.) was elected House Republican Conference chair, assuring that there will be a female in House GOP leadership.
How about that? Female voting units can now choose candidates with an (R) next to their names, confident in the knowledge their private property is safe. Official representation in Republican congressional leadership: Who loves ya, girls?

The victory comes roughly a week after women flocked to President Barack Obama over Mitt Romney in the presidential election.
Never mind that little anomaly.

Price was backed by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).
Does this mean Ryan Wonky McNumbersWonk got repudiated twice in 8 days?

Yes, it does.

Nice choice, Mr. Ryan.

Your colleagues still love you though, despite your losing streak. Why else would you have received that standing ovation?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

women's need for free contraceptives swung the election to Obama:

    the New York Times reports.

Said Romney: "In each case they were very generous in what they gave to those groups. With regards to the young people, for instance, a forgiveness of college loan interest, was a big gift. Free contraceptives were very big with young college-aged women. And then, finally, Obamacare also made a difference for them, because as you know, anybody now 26 years of age and younger was now going to be part of their parents' plan, and that was a big gift to young people. They turned out in large numbers, a larger share in this election even than in 2008."

Republicans about their views on women, and let the actual women do what only they can do... put men in their place regarding these issues that, being men, they will never, ever understand.
