I'm a wannabe cartoonist and child of the funnies. I know when Walt Kelly changed from a liberal to a reactionary. I cherish Herblock. For the record, I noticed that a conservative-leaning cartoonist drank Rove's Kool-Aid about a Romney victory. More after the graphic curly-cue.
Keep in mind that cartoonists must be several days or weeks ahead of schedule (save editorial cartoonists) so they cannot react swiftly to current events, but must guess how things come out.
Here in L.A., we have a comic strip by one Scott Stantis called Prickly City. It features a Republican Latina (or African-American girl) and her Democratic coyote.
After the Nov. 6th election, the strips favored a downbeat Democrat, bent on rediscovering his purpose, apparently bested by a Romney victory.
Although I have not yet found Nov. 7th strips, here is Nov. 12th:

If you follow the days, it is clear that Stantis thought Romney was a shoo-in.
