Last night I posted a diary about U.S. Senator Al Franken (D. MN) coming to Hollywood to present an Oscar to acclaimed documentary filmmaker, D.A. Pennemaker. you can read it here:

D.A. Pennemaker and his wife, Chris Hegedus, who were nominated for an Academy Award in 1994 for their documentary, "The War Room" which follows Bill Clinton's 1992 Presidential campaign. Well I just received an email from Michael Moore's office alerting me that Michael Moore will also be presenting the Oscar with Al Franken:

Sam, thought you and your Daily Kos readers might be interested -- the award going to Pennebaker has remarks by Franken and also Michael Moore. Pennebaker has been a huge inspiration to tons of documentarians. Anyway, the Star Tribune updated their story:

WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. Al Franken, a former comedian who has worked diligently to put Hollywood behind him, will present an Oscar statuette Saturday night at the Motion Picture Academy's 4th annual Governors Awards...
"Now he's getting an Oscar," Franken said Thursday. Franken will be making the presentation with filmmaker Michael Moore
You have no idea how flattered I am that Moore's office actually reached out to me.
By the way, I also received a fundraising email from Franken's re-election campaign. They're trying to reach $40,000 by midnight tonight. Help Al out:
