The plan also seeks $600 billion in health savings. One option, GOP aides said, would be raising the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 67.

The specific isn't mentioned in the Repug fiscal cliff letter to Obama. Link to letter in PDF here:

There's no reason to think heartless Romney-Ryan Repugs care about folks laid off at 55, or 62, or even folks who retire at the "normal" age of 65. But even with improved access in ObamaCare (which the Repugs still want to repeal), unemployed older Americans will be threatened with financial ruin by the cost of health insurance.
COBRA, cost one of my employees who unwisely retired at 62 $1,500 a month for himself and his wife. That was several health-inflation years ago.
And COBRA runs out in short order. It is intended only as a stop-gap, not to carry a laid off worker from age 55 to 67.

Let's go "over the cliff" and see the entirety of the Bush tax cuts reinstated.
It is unacceptable to balance the budget (which the Repugs wouldn't even accomplish) on the backs of the poor and the outsourced.
