Will Bunch asks why.
That's why White House attempt to make Dick Cheney look good Press Secretary Jay Carney said that it's not the time to talk about guns:
As news filtered in Friday from the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said "today is not the day," to engage in a policy debate over gun control.
At least 20 children dead, and we shouldn't talk about it.
BTW, did you know that there was a school attack in China today?
No Deaths, though 22 were injured. Guess what? That guy used knives, and he didn't manage to kill anyone.
The problem is us. I don't mean that it's the American public as a whole, I mean that specifically, the problem is the liberal community.
We let it slide. We cut politicians slack, because they need this to fight challenges from the right.
Bull fucking shit.
Remember what happened when we (liberals) stopped accepting the argument that, "He's with us on everything but the war?"
Remember when we defeated Lieberman in the primary? When we made politicans who were nominally on our side afraid of us?
That's when members of congress startet getting serious about getting the fuck out.
Gun control has to be a litmus test, like Iraq was, and Rov v. Wade is.
I don't care if the district he is running in includes Cletus, Alabama, and the Republican he is running against is a serial murderer. We cannot support him for his vote for speaker.
Enough.
