More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

the "stats" on charter schools' claimed success for two years.  Can't wait to read Laura's diary.

And I haven't the foggiest notion what the "crossed out" generation is, so I'm looking forward to brooklynbadboy's explanation.

Also why the Republicans would wonder whether they go on TV enough - I'm sure Hunter has a few rude words to say about that.

that they don't have time to do their actual jobs, like pondering, discussing, researching and drafting legislation, jobs they leave to ALEC and lobbyists.  When will we get to vote for lobbyists?
John McCain may have been on Sunday television more than the late Tim Russert.  Sadly, this has allowed the nation to witness his decline into dodderdom.

    •  Politicians on TV enough? They jest, surely (0+ / 0-)

Politicians need publicity like you and i need oxygen. For a politician, there is no such thing as "being on TV too much", irrespective of how absolutely effing stupid then sound when they do open their mouths on TV.
I stand by my argument that the key enabler to getting politicians to actually answer the questions that they are asked will be for the TV stations to decline to invite them again if they BS their way sideways out of answers. Within a matter of weeks, they will all be begging to come back on the same programs they decided to boycott. They need the publicity too badly.

had to turn on reruns of Hogan's Heros as a diversion.

Nothing like a good old comedy about bumbling Nazis.

I know Marcos has been promoting his own petition to start a national conversation about gun control, and I signed it.  I also signed This petition at the White House site so President Obama knows we want something done as well.  Since the petition started yesterday, it received over 100,000 signatures (I am 62.745th).  Please sign both petitions so we can finally put an end to the madness.  I personally find it ironic that the person who bought the guns in yesterday's tragedy, including her own murder, bought the guns for self-defense.
