To the obviously obsessive small arms owners, President Obama nor some twisted thoughts of a liberal Government agenda isn't dictating the taking of your guns, the Country is rising to better control your access to those cherished weapons of mass death, destruction, that your growing paranoia draws you to! And like this tragedy showed one of your owns growing paranoia created a well armed arsenal with very well stocked needs.

I propose just one new policy, others will be by those we hire to act, Hopefully. We have 'Sin' taxes on the rights of some groups, along with those taxes heavy restrictions, of which are paying for that which you readily use, so let there be a 'Sin' tax on these weapons and supplies, ammunition and more, that you need to fill out your arsenals. I propose at least half the cost of each weapon be added to that full cost and each bullets cost be doubled, that half cost also added to any supplies, holsters, sites, magazines/clips {these should be cut back to ability of only loading a much smaller number of rounds then presently} etc.. These taxes are then added to the treasuries and are a continued flow to pay the costs, compensations for first responders, higher teacher wages long overdue, much more, of the carnage these weapons create as they are designed to. Including helping pay the costs of the wars cheered on by the country and others are sent into as well as the results of those wars. These two recent long occupations have yet to be paid for and especially the peoples responsibility the Veterans Administration, added to the previous decades and the results of those wars.

Full Text of the Presidents Eulogy: "Newtown, You Are Not Alone"

Obama vows action on gun violence
Speaking at a vigil for families of the victims and other students from Sandy Hook Elementary, President Obama says, "God has called them all home. For those of us who remain, let us find the strength to carry on."

16 December 2012 - President Barack Obama vowed to marshal the power of his office behind a nationwide effort to curb  gun violence following an elementary school massacre last week in Newtown, Conn.

The president, speaking Sunday evening at an interfaith vigil in Newtown, said that the United States is "left with some hard questions" following the mass shooting, which left 20 children, seven adults and the suspected shooter dead.

He used the speech to lay down a marker, vowing to take action to address gun violence amid yet another high-profile mass shooting in his presidency.

"We can't tolerate this anymore," Obama said. "These tragedies must end. And to end them, we must change."  read more>>>

Other tighter laws are needed, and yes regulations on the manufacturing and handling for your own safety as well as others, and the Gun Organizations need to become responsible citizen organizations, taking the blame when it's one of their dues paying members guns involved, even if stolen from them. They must stop their driving fear which builds that paranoia in many coming also from some highly paid talking heads that many follow and listen to what they espouse as their bank vaults fill up.

A civil society should actually be just that, working with each other for that civility and the freedoms it brings!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

I'm pretty sure he didn't just intend a conversation about guns. Perhaps we need to start viewing mental health as a Public Safety issue and use our tax money for a comprehensive mental health program across America.

Need something to talk about especially in this politically charged and paranoia society, so politics it will be and not an extremely heartfelt eulogy it actually was!!!!!!

I will say that some within those ranks actually did a real good professional job since the tragedy, at least the reports I've watched and read!!

BIG institutions, some non-profits- that should also have a SIN tax imposed on them, too!!!!

many of them being in the ranks of the 'no new taxes' groups, have no problem paying high prices for these small arms that really have no other use but to kill others nor do they have a problem buying all that comes with them so they look like little 'rambo's' at the ranges and in public. Nor do they mind having huge amounts of stocked ammunition, had a FB friend say he has at least anywhere from 3000 to 5000 rds. stored and fires off around five hundred a week, meaning he replenishes, I responded that that is just plain obsessive behavior after asking him why he thought he needed such a stockpile, he never answered, which by the way does not have a shelf life like nuclear.

After I thought that frankly he just targeted his home for a break in if anyone near him happened to read his remark being FB and all, a social media!

With four of the mothers friends, not one question givin as to was her son getting professional help as they talked about 'his' asperger and how withdrawn he was.

They instead were making the mother out to be a 'saint' of a woman and found nothing wrong with her obsession with guns nor the well stocked supplies for, ammunition and clips found in the school and you can bet there were much more at home!

She herself, as I see it, should have been seeking or getting professional help, from reading the reports about her since yesterday!

How many of us have known people that were just a little odd...work, school, etc.  I have been in line in grocery store with a guy that just was odd....I recognized the signs as my brother-in-law has this syndrome....as he was born premature almost 50 years ago.

Let me say that for much of my life I have known there are folks that have a kid living with them through most of their lives...sometimes this is referred to in hushed tones.

My brother-in-law is different...he's educated but cannot find a job using his education His physician has never mentioned anything to him about what is so obvious.....nor has his family. So where does this start....the physician, parents, siblings...shhhhhh.

As a mother, I would move heaven and earth to get care for my child...but where do you start, can you ignore the odd looks you get and is it just easier to squirrel the kid away?

wondered whether either the mom or either of the sons may have been victims of domestic abuse of any type, at any time?

At least, how brutal was the divorce --- and how much might that have influenced what has now happened?
