Who would have guessed a Google Search for "Happy Christmas Stories" would end up teaching me how to build an AR15 Assault Rifle! Unbelievable but true.
Here's the Google search result:
Well, that seemed easy. No to Wikipedia, no to a movie link, ta da Google search delivers "A happy Christmas story" hit #3.
Now, please keep in mind that I set out to offer an uplifting diary today. Here's the so-called Happy Christmas Story in its entirety:
What the hell is Google Search thinking!!! or does it think?
Either way, I thought the experience, in light of the Sandy Hook tragedy, warranted sharing this experience with you and others.
The young man in the "How to make an AR15 Assault Rifle" videos (towards the end below) is still in high school and is very, very bright. His mom said "OK" when he asked if it would be ok if he built is own assault rifle. He also builds a forge on the home deck and makes his own huge knife and ax. He is definitely from a Survivalist Family, judging from the sprawling property that surrounds the upscale home.
Like many here, I had never heard of a Springfield Armory XDS-45 so I decided to pop on over to youtube where the gun enthusiasts never tire of providing gun reviews.
I found this gun enthusiast's review, CandRreviews. CandR have hundreds of gun reviews.
A little more searching on youtube reveals that this Springfield Armory XDS-45 is becoming a very popular CCW (concealed carry weapon).
I became curious whether or not CandR reviewed the weapon used by the Sandy Hook evil one. Why, yes, they do have a video of the same gun used by Lanza
While listening to the CandR guys wax wonder about the Bushmaster AR-15 M4A3, I scrolled down the titles of similar videos and was shocked to find a youtube subscriber teaching people how to build an AR15 assualt rifle.
The good news is the cost to build this gun is close to $1,000. The bad news is that, even if gun sales were haulted, would that mean the "gun parts" sellers would also cease and desist? Or would the "must have an assault weapon" crowd still be able to build their own?
MasterMoose00 youtube subscriber provides a 4-video series teaching how to build your own AR15. MM looks about 16 in the videos and looks like he's from an affluent, survivalist family:
MM's "how to make an AR15" video series, Part I, has been viewed 139,791 times. Parts 2 & 3 continue the lesson as MasterMoose00 receives parts shipments. It is interesting that MM does provide the names of who sells the parts and contact information to help viewers get discounts via other people. I list his resources at the end of this diary.
Part 4 shows how to assemble all the parts MM has received, although it is imcomplete. Here it is
But MM must have finished his gun, because this video shows how fast the AR15 shoots. In seconds, MMoose shoots 10 rounds.
He mentions in Video Pt 4, at minutes 2:31 - 2:52 "556 is what he wants for when the shit hits the fan, 556 is going to be everywhere, that stuff is going to be so common"
OK, WHO IS TEACHING THIS YOUNG BOY THIS STUFF?
So, really Google Search? The above is the Happy Christmas Story you thought we all might be most interested in.
Who knows?
Maybe one of you will forward this to your member(s) of Congress and maybe, just maybe, all the loopholes for assault weaponry will be closed, including the parts suppliers like
Palmetto State Armory presently offering the AR-15 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
AIM Surplus which is presently posting high volume alerts to explain delayed shipping.

There are many other ways, besides gun stores, WalMart, etc., to attain assault weapons.
I would have never guessed a 16 year old could buy stuff online to do so, would you?
