It's ironic that CNBC has put out an article titled "Predictions That Went Wrong in 2012", considering the talking heads on the network are wrong on a daily basis. The article does list some good ones but the biggest is missing in my opinion.

The biggest prediction that failed to come true this year was CNBC and others calling the election for Romney. Well except for Jim Cramer who pegged Obama's win at 440! Still way off though. Jim was in the minority on CNBC. Most predicted a Romney win and some a landslide.
1. Facebook hype ipo
2. Chinese recession
3. Greek Exit
4. Gold at $2,000
5. US Bond Bubble
6. Double-dip US Recession
7. Euro in trouble
8. Japanese Debt crisis
9. End of the world
We heard a lot about some of these here. The Greek exit from the Euro was predicted time after time. We had articles about our debt, bonds and the coming recession. Most are listed in the CNBC article. They failed to list one of the biggest failed predictions of the year. Karl Rove's mug should have been attached to the number one prediction that wasn't. He reminded me of Trading Places when Mortimer says turn those machines back on! His super pac mostly defeated. Billions wasted and they weren't even close! In another reality they were, created out of their imaginations and hoisted upon America like mother's milk.
Because of their actions, ideology and stupidity, that day will stay with me forever. The race was over months before election day. Romney never had a chance. Even with all their cheating, spinning and manipulating, Romney never broke through. Not even once. That didn't stop them though and then they fooled themselves.
