The final weekend of the regular season is at hand. 10-6 last week and 137 - 86 for the year.
The overall one seed for the AFC is still up for grabs and the NFC East and West titles are still up for grabs. The final Wild Card is also up for grabs in the NFC. Since this is the last weekend of the season and tomorrow will be the marching off the plank for many coaching staffs some of the games which mean nothing will look at who stays and who goes.
There will be playoff picks next week!
Happy New Year!!!
Houston Texans (12-3) at Indianapolis Colts (10-5) Great Expectations at Andrew's Luck
The Texans need a win to get next week off. If they lose they are hosting the Bengals next weekend. Andrew Luck's team is already +8 in the win column over last season. If the Texans fall and are one and done in the playoffs Gary Kubiak's seat gets real hot real fast. Pick: Texans
Arizona Cardinals (5-10) at San Francisco 49ers (10-4-1) Desert Disaster at the Bay Area Brawlers
The future looks bleak for the coaches in the desert. The Niners still need to win to claim the division. They could still get the 2 seed if the Pack falls. Moving day tomorrow in Phoenix. Pick: 49ers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-9) at Atlanta Falcons (13-2) - Rowdy Pirates at Win in the Postseason
The Bucs played hard all year. They have questions, but not about the coaching staff. For the Falcons, if they fail to win a playoff game then yes, that coaching staff might be out. Pick: Bucs
NY Jets (6-9) at Buffalo Bills (5-10) - Media Hos at Overpaid
This is a tale of two staffs that are on notice. Chan is canned in Buffalo and Rex may get one year to fix things. The QB situation in Gotham is horrible. Pick: Bills
Baltimore Ravens (10-5) at Cincinnati Bengals (9-6) - The sort of Contenders at Super Sophs
This is a game that means nothing to either team. They both play next week. The Ravens host the Colts and the Bengals will travel to either Foxboro, Denver, or Houston. Both coaching staffs are safe. Pick: Bengals
Chicago Bears (9-6) at Detroit Lions (4-11) - Midway Maulers at sleeping kitties
There might be major changes in Detroit. That team is talented, but completely underachieved. The Bears might make a move, but who knows with a winning record. The Bears need help to get into the postseason. Pick: Bears
Jacksonville Jaguars (2-13) at Tennessee (5-10) - Wretched at Rudderless
The Jags just made a change at the coaching level, but if a new GM comes in then the coaching situation will change too. The Titans overachieved last year and the owner already told them they were on notice. I'm thinking two new staffs join the AFC South next season. As for the game... Pick: Titans
Carolina Panthers (6-9)at New Orleans Saints (7-8) - Cam's Crew at Wait for Next Year!
Ron Rivera should be back, but they need help on offense and defense for the Panthers to get better. Sean Peyton is back next season and the Saints will have a HUGE chip on their shoulder. Pick: Saints
Philadelphia Eagles (4-11)at NY Giants (8-7) - Bye Andy at the fading Champs
Andy is gone tomorrow. The Giants have been a big mess all season. I'm beginning to wonder if Coughlin calls it a career soon. The trend continues that the Giants win the SB and don't make the playoffs the next season. Pick: Giants
Cleveland Browns (5-10) at Pittsburgh Steelers (7-8) - Not as bad as they look at Old & Rusty
The Browns will make a change tomorrow. Watch out for next season. The Steelers are in danger of having a losing record. That staff is safe because the Rooneys don't fire coaches often. Pick: Steelers
Oakland Raiders (4-11)at San Diego Chargers (6-9) - the Black Hole at sunny surfers
Who knows what the Raiders will do and if the Chargers have any sense they will can Norm and A.J. tomorrow. They have squandered so much talent in the last few seasons that it is appalling. Pick: Chargers
St. Louis Rams (7-7-1) at Seattle Seahawks (10-5) - Next Season's darlings at Russell's Rascals
Both staffs are safe. The Rams are dangerous going into next year. The Seahawks can still lay claim to the NFC West if the Niners fall, if not they travel next week to the NFC East winner. The Rams are dangerous inside the division. Pick:Rams
Green Bay Packers (11-4) at Minnesota Vikings (9-6) - DANGEROUS at Stunning
This game has all kinds of implications. The Vikings take the final playoff spot with a win and kick the Packers out of the 2 seed as well. The Packers look like the most dangerous team in the league right now. Pick:Packers
Miami Dolphins (7-8) at New England Patriots (11-4) - The future looks bright at the Empire
The Sith sit in the 3rd seed currently. If Houston loses they get a bye, if Denver loses too, they get home field. However, if Houston wins early the Sith may sit players to get ready for next week. The Dolphins had a good season. Pick: Empire
Kansas City Chiefs (2-13) at Denver Broncos (12-3) - Horrid at Peyton's Place
Romeo and Scott are out tomorrow. The Chiefs have talent, but no plan to maximize that talent. The Broncos may play everyone for a half. Pick:Broncos
Dallas Cowboys (8-7) at Washington Redskins (9-6) - Egomaniacs at Wonderboys
This is for the NFC East. If Dallas wins they win the division and kick the Skin's out all together. I wanted changes in Dallas, but that won't happen now. Don't really care for either team and the winner faces Seattle next week most likely. Pick:Cowboys (bleck!)
