I apologize for the short diary, but I didn't see this anywhere else on Kos, and I think it is worth reading about.
I wish the title was snark, but unfortunately some people with real influence in the US military think that the best way to deal with terrorism is to just kill everybody whose religion the terrorists hijacked. If the following story is true, it reveals an evil underbelly in the thinking of some in the US armed forces. I hope and pray that it is the vast minority, but it also reminds me why our Founders set up the military to be subservient to our elected leaders (especially the POTUS). Remember this next time someone harshly criticizes the executive branch for going against what the military wants.
Note that this class has been cancelled and is being investigated by the leadership in the US military. I still am left to wonder how it could have even happened.
Here are a couple of articles on this:

I'm not a big foxnews fan, but this particular article has quite a bit of info, and if you want a periscope into this militant thinking, you can read the comments.

Here is a quote:
That left open the option, the instructor continued, of applying "the historical precedents of Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki" to Islam's holiest cities, and bringing about "Mecca and Medina destruction".
Maybe he should have said Auswitch???
