Although this seems to be beating a dead issue, I am in an elegaic mood for personal reasons. And so, for my promised contribution, I offer this in memory of a soul-less slippery bloodsucking eel of a political 'person', who is now politically deader than Marley's ghost. I miss not being able to vote against him anymore.
Join us every Tuesday afternoon at the Daily Kos community political poetry club.
Your own poetry is always welcome in the comments.
Bongos, berets & turtle neck sweaters optional.

It's Mitt
It's Mitt
What is it?
It's for health care
in one state
But not the nation
That don't rate
the Nomination
Won't do it
For Mitt
That's Mitt
Didn't want it
To be president
Not his intent
But then why did he
Ten years take?
Running for office
For Pete's sake
Cares for people?
Not a whit
Why, Mitt?
Yes, Mitt
What a wit
Cracking jokes on
Unemployment
Gets enjoyment
From firing those
Who propose
Poor services
Won't do one bit
For Mitt
So Mitt
Dog won't fit
In family Car
So travel far
with Pooch on roof
And here's the truth
The 47%
Are Dependent
Can't pay rent
Not making it
Says Mitt
Poor Mitt
Can't commit
To one position
Excess opposition
Pro life or choice
What a voice
singing flat
And more than that
Not consistent
Only insistent
That he's Conservative
Severely
Or at least fairly
Hard to perceive
What he does believe
You must admit
Flip-floppin Mitt
So Mitt
Have to quit
You've not won
Election undone
By unskewed polls
And Voting rolls
Unpurged of them
With different color skin
Who clearly spurned
Your tax returns
And Capitalism
Done by Vultures
And old cultures
Would not permit
Going backward, Mitt
Currently, Mitt
Your party's split
Teabaggers
Can't stand you
'Moderates'(?)
Hate you too
You've gone away
Word of the day
'Disillusionmitt'
Upper class twit
Won't mean Sh*t
There, I've said it.
Bye, Mitt.
Editor's note:
This diary was outstanding!
I'm not usually a fan of merciless smackdowns of anyone,
but this diary showed great skill!
Anyone else
who wants to show off such talent,
or at least try
to write something resembling poetry,
(such as my incessant short lines,
sometimes rebuked as being
hard to read,
and not truly poetry),
we invite you to write a diary for this group.
Pick a Tuesday,
and get an invite,
if you're not a member,
and send me kosmail
if you have any questions.
Tuesdays in the near future:
22nd of January: open
29th of January: open
5th of February: open
12th of February: open
19th of February: open
I'm tired of typing February;
you get the idea.
Thanks for stopping by.
