I usually write diaries because I am moved to. Today I write because I must, and am reluctant, and so I don't know how it will flow. Forgive me in advance.

Those of you who know me or follow me know that I haven't been active on Daily Kos for about a month now. That has not been completely voluntary. My spouse decided to give in to self-medicating her PTSD with alcohol... and it has been a bad month.

Two nights ago she was arrested for domestic violence.

I can't help her anymore. I've tried for years. I've swept the violence under the rug, because I know what PTSD is like, and I know she'd get no help from the VA.

Then of course, she finally got a job, was doing great, I thought it had all paid off--but it just postponed things, especially after the work injury.

Anyway. I have my application in for SSI (something I was allowed out of the bedroom for because it meant added income), but I desperately need a place to stay. Does anyone in Maine, New Hamphshire, or Massachuchetts need a housekeeper/cook/(possibly) nanny or caretaker? I have done housecleaning professionally in the past, and my cooking skills are varied and amazing. :)

I do have my little service dog Pùka, but he's very well-behaved. He helps with my hearing difficulties, among other things.

I know that a month is forever on the internet. But my need is great, as hard as it is to write, and so here I am.

I put myself at your service.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
