Inspired by navajo's New Day Diary today:
These restaurants are not chain restaurants. I have not eaten at all of them, but I have friends who have and these come recommended by them. Any one of them would be good for a Kossack Meet-up of any size in the Oklahoma City area.

Wow, this list is getting longer than I expected. Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas has a lot of "mom and pop" restaurants. There's no need to eat at chain restaurants here at all.
We have a large and very ethnically diverse population, and they all seem to be opening little hole in the wall eateries. Some come and go distressingly fast, but others (the ones I listed) have been around a few years.
And these don't even touch on the food trucks parking all over the place (mostly taco trucks - Taco Sibilia is my favorite... but if I can ever catch up to the Waffle Truck, that could change.) What fun it would be to meet up at a food truck (the waffle one, perhaps?) on a warm evening and bring a table and chairs (I have a 6' folding table...) and fancy dishes to have an impromptu gathering!
