I know, this post is not a diary.  It is a short comment.  I do read lots of stuff in DKos these days but spend most of my time in the GUS (Giving Up Smoking) diaries or the NEW DAY diaries or my beloved eric's Animal Nuz.  Why?  Because they are consistently sane.

I still like my Abbreviated Pundits fix and several other diarists who are intelligent and edgy.  What I find irritating, however, is the fact that the innocuousness of a TTFN diary can provoke a kos response along with the response being cheered or jeered.  TTFN can be read, rec'd or totally ignored.  There are tons of diaries here which are "look at me" diaries and don't get as much positive or negative or kos attention.

What I find utterly odd is that a TTFN diary, followed by a satire on TTFN was followed by an Admin (aka kos) response that TTFN's are now deemed bannable (sp?).  Honestly, I can't raise too much angst on this issue.

What I can raise angst about is the fact that certain odious diaries can survive hours, be viewed by front pagers, and the diarist maintains TU status and decent mojo.  The most recent of which is one that calls for killing a group of folks.

I don't care how this diarist or her rec'ers define this group.  Calling for murder seems to be . . . what?  Dickish?  Violent?  Not nice?

I'm devoted to the GUS diaries and the others I mentioned above.  Maybe we should be banned for avoiding a lot of crap that isn't bannable.

Very truly yours,

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
