Congressman Joe Heck (R-NV) on Tuesday agreed that he considers former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ), who was a victim of an assassination attempt two years ago, a “prop” in the debate over gun regulations.
Think Progress
Because Ms. Giffords is disabled by her injuries, that makes her incapable of thinking for herself? How's this for a concept, Rep. Heck: Gabby Giffords is still smarter than you are. She knows what she's doing, and for obvious reasons she believes in gun control.
And then there's this:
I think again in the cloud of emotion surrounding Connecticut those who are anti-gun want to use that to limit their Second Amendment rights.
I'll try another new concept on you, Joe: those of us who want to limit access to guns like those used at Sandy Hook are thinking clearly, not emotionally. Those who think there is a sacred right to own weapons designed for the purpose of killing many people quickly are the emotional ones ... and they are emotional 365 days a year.
There's an entire TV "news" network designed to keep them from thinking clearly, and a national association spreading delusional propaganda working as hard as possible to keep people from thinking logically about guns.
