That may be an insult to bat guano.  Here's the latest quote from Louie Gohmert (R-Beamed Up in an Ion Storm Into an Alternative Universe), per ThinkProgress (2/21/13):

Louie Gohmert auditions for Henry II?
[The Second Amendment] is for our protection and the founders’ quotes make that very very clear and including against a government that would run amuck. We’ve got some people who think Sharia Law should be the law of the land, forget the Constitution. But the guns are there… to make sure all of the rest of the Amendments are followed.
Let's look at the "logic" here, from the wingnut point of view.
1.  I have the right under the Second Amendment to kill whomever I want if I think it's necessary to protect the constitution.

2.  Sharia law is a threat to the constitution.

3.  Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?

This no way to talk in a country that is awash both in guns and religious fanaticism.  Haven't we had enough lynchings, enough Tim McVeighs?  (Here's a handy list of wingnut terrorists, BTW.)

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
